Welcome to the 2020 Term!
All the information you need regarding the ‘2020 Term’ is below. If you would like to join us for this inspiring and exciting journey, please read on …
Established in 2000, this year, Brighton Goes Gospel (BGG) is thrilled and excited to be celebrating its 20th anniversary. We shall be celebrating the whole year with a term full of exciting opportunities and events culminating in our grandest celebratory production ever, Saturday 5th December 2020 at the Brighton Dome.
Traditionally we run two terms a year, however this year we will be combining the Spring and Autumn terms into one; a whole one-year term – the 2020 Term!
For the entire 2020 Term we will be learning and rehearsing a repertoire with choreography which will be performed at our grand 20th Anniversary concert.
Please be aware that to be fair to all, we work on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and membership capacity to the 2020 Term is strictly limited.
The Workshop Choir
Our BGG Workshop Choir is open to anyone, regardless of ability, experience, race, religion or sexuality. There is no need to read music and you do not need to audition.
All we ask is that you commit to the 33-week workshop term plus extra rehearsals leading to our exciting celebratory 20th anniversary end of term concert. This choir has a maximum capacity of 130 members. We pride ourselves on our professionalism and are renowned for the quality of our performance. We recommend that you bring a recording device to each workshop so you can record the songs and practice later at home.
Attendance to our four staging rehearsals is compulsory and failure to attend will result in not being able to perform in the celebratory 20th anniversary concert. Click here for our ‘Calendar of Workshops.’
PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO ATTEND ALL THE STAGING REHEARSALS BEFORE SIGNING UP.
Free Taster Session
If we have reached our total capacity before the term starts we will not be offering Taster sessions for the 2020 Term.
If we have not reached our total capacity before the 2020 Term start date, Thursday 5th March, we may send out an email advising people that they can register for a Free Taster, depending on how many spaces we have left.
If you have joined our mailing list, you will receive notice if we are offering a free Taster session (we expect that we will know one week before the start of the 2020 Term, Thursday 27th February. Please keep an eye on your emails). You can join our mailing list by clicking on the ‘orange join our mailing list tab’ on the right.
